HB’s Wing Sauce No. 1 “HOT”

I decided to challenge myself this summer by coming up with the best chicken wing sauce recipe….ever.

I’d never made wing sauce until this week, but I’ve always been a huge hot wing girl!  As I was in the middle of my first attempt at wing saucing, my scattered brain went in a million different directions as it usually does halfway through a new recipe.  What if I added spicy mustard?  Does this need honey?  Chili pepper?  Cayenne pepper?  Lemonjuicebrownsugarketchuphabaneropeppervinegar?  I decided that my challenge will be to invent a number of amazingly awesome different kinds of wing sauces.  And with that, I give you… the first wing sauce of 2009!

Time For Dirty Fingernails!

I finally got some seeds planted this week!  This year I wanted to try a new method, a funny little instrument called a soil blocker.

The idea behind a soil blocker is that you create free-standing blocks of soil instead of using potting trays. This means that the starting of seeds is more environmentally friendly (no plastic cups to throw away) and the seedlings are less stressed during transplanting.

Bee Day!

Happy spring!
